Beginning the New Year with great excitement and enthusiasm, we’re taking a moment to look back at the past twelve months.

Most notably, 2015 saw the celebration of a number of new product designs, with the launch of Karndean LooseLay Series 3 and the introduction of our striking reclaimed wood inspired looks in both our Van Gogh and Da Vinci collections. It really was a year that brought more unique and forward-thinking flooring designs to our customers…and without giving too much away, 2016 will see further exciting developments in our global design offering.

We celebrated a number of digital advancements throughout the year as well. Highlights included updates to both our revolutionary AR app and Product Selector app, but most exciting of all was the unveiling of our new and improved Floorstyle interactive room viewer. The inspirational digital tool gives you access to our full product catalogue and allows the user to select from an impressive array of both residential and commercial spaces. The new functionality lets you add design strips, position planks or tiles at different angles, compare floor designs side-by-side and add free samples to your basket. If you haven’t already, give it a go and let us know what you think.

It was also another year of resounding excellence, which came with recognition and reward. Floor Covering News (USA) honoured us with its ‘2015 Award of Excellence’ in the Resilient Category, while FlooringXtra Australia named us ‘Top Supplier Nationally’. We were also delighted to be recognised as the UK’s only flooring company to achieve a 2015 Best Companies Accreditation status, and for third consecutive made the Pittsburgh Business Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies for 2015.

We supported a number of great and worthy causes, which even saw us coming to the aid of the BBC1 programme, DIY SOS back in June. Helping husband and wife Frank and Christine Burrows, the programme fulfilled the couple’s dream of bringing their son home, who was left severely brain damaged after an attack in 2012. Thanks to our brilliant Karndean team, who went above and beyond, offering up their spare time (and sometimes dignity!) to raise much needed funds for an array of fantastic charities, such as Walking Warrior Project, St Richard’s Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support to name a few.

It’s thanks to all our supporters that we can look back at 2105 with enormous joy and pride. And now we look forward to the next twelve months, which we’ll be working to make another memorable year in designflooring.
